Why you're getting so worked up over someone's VR opinion?

Yeah, sorry for having standards for the amount of money I am spending? lol.
Maybe if you're nice Sony will send you a PSVR2 to review for your website 😁

I know they send review copies but how does it work for hardware?

We are in the process of that. I am not sure exactly how hardware is handled. I'd imagine it's a different Sony department. God of War Ragnarok we got 3 and a half weeks early. Titles are usually handled by different individuals.

From looking at the offerings at this year's CES, we are year's away from what you're looking for. HMD with the same or better specs compared to PSVR2 are significantly more expensive, in some cases multiple thousand dollars (for example the most advanced one is probably the Varjo X3 which comes in at a cool $6500). What you are failing to realize is that the VR ecosystem cannot sustain an environment where the barrier to entry is that expensive, and since sony is 99% likely to be taking a loss or barely breaking even on these devices, you're just SoL if you expect them to put out a pro-level wireless HMD which would likely cost an extra $500 minimum.
Yes... I am very aware of that. That's why if you read what I said I clearly stated that were most likely a decade or 2 away from something like that...

So why be unreasonable and expect something that, by your own admission, is a decade away? Wireless HMD with the graphical compute power of a ps5 and its current features like haptic feedback would at the minimum require some revolution in battery tech since I'm sure you're well aware that haptics cuts the battery life of the dualsense by half or more... you'd be getting like 30 minutes of wireless operation or having a 5lb battery pack strapped to your back

i don't get it either. standards are good. but this isn't a standards question, it just unreasonable expectations.

Why is it unreasonable tho? Technology moves very rapidly these days. Let me ask you this - you think VR has come a long way since the original consumer version of Oculus Rift in March 2016?

Because VR is a space with a lot of competing companies and none of them are offering anything close to what you want for an accessible price...so maybe it's just unreasonable? Why aren't I mad at Intel for not having their latest desktop CPUs be 32 cores on 5 angstrom process node, while costing <$400? Because it simply isn't available, either the tech isn't ready yet or it's too expensive to offer at that price point. That's like asking why the xbox series X isn't 60 teraflops...
