People need to be expecting at least $500 to not be dissapointed, but I suspect $599.

If it's 399 we can all throw a big celebration party but actually expecting that seems naive.

Lol its not half a playstation, the series S is half an Xbox, the Digital PS5 is the one I actually wanted and couldn’t get
Well, if a console does not have a disc drive, it is half of what it is. Price wise, option wise, security wise (wink). As you said, Series S is as much of a half console as PS5 Digital and XBOne SAD edition was in the previous gen.

Its its 600 its gonna be a fucking disaster, i can buy a pico for 450, and it have memory, hardware and a battery

PSVR was the same price of a PS4 console (400), and it used to have kinda entry level specs. PSVR2 really seems like a more of a quality machine with more premium fetures than the first one and is a complete package, since it includes the controllers as well as opposed to PSVR1. Seeing as every price tag goes up nowadays and that his excellency Lord Jimbo is the head of PS, i'd say do not hold your breath for 450... VR unfortunately is sold at a pricetag for the people who know what they are buying.

If you want to tinker with VR (and i say tinker cause i don't feel through your words that you have experience with VR or are even into it in general) i'd suggest something DIY with a carton and a magnifying glass rather than buying something with a battery that will be useless in 3 years. But i hope you enjoy whatever you spent your mone on : )

Sorry pops, VR is not mainstream, no matter how much we like it. It has nothing to do about me (ad hominem is a pitiful tactic nowadays papa), it is a niche market. Probably will never be mainstream cause it is on the expensive side of gaming and certainly not all of the gamers can handle it. We can at least agree on that. Maybe you have the experience, maybe not, who am i to judge.

As a PS owner though, i can't look at pico for VR, i guess you can understand why...

The right price would be between 500 and 600 quid, at most (and I'm talking €). Anything more than that and I won't be acquiring it.

I'm prepared to part my €600 and not a fiver more. But, sadly, i don't see that happening.

sure buddy im pretty sure multinationals are spending millions to not want to VR to be mainstream, only for the "especial ones" lol
again my point its, they need this to be accesible for the normal public,600 wont do that, its fucking easy to understand ,and there is no point to launch this thing if they wont make this thing have a good launch pricepoint, even you sorry ass can understand that

Look bud, i think you are missing my point. It's not that i want to pay more, i shouldn't have to argue for that, it's that VR is a niche market and the numbers do support that. For example on PS4, PSVR sold 5 million units, out of 116 million PS4s out there. That means less than 5 out of 100 PS4s were used with the PSVR.

Nobody said you have to have superpowers in order to use VR, that is just child talk and i get why you got there. People are just not that into it, VR isn't as widely adopted as it could be, for one reason or another.

PS:
Niche = denoting products, services, or interests that appeal to a small, specialized section of the population.

Unless Sony is selling it at a substantial loss, I can't see it being less than 500 quid. Which for VR headsets, especially with this feature set, would be an absolute bargain.

Competition with little worst spec asking 1500$, and people are dreaming about 400$, even 500$.

Pico retails for $700 (the set with the controllers.)

Quoting prices in China for a Chinese product is pretty... useless.

(although Pico 4 not sure we know the price in the west yet either way)
