Ah gotcha.. well still.. you can talk quality all day, Chinese products are just cheaper. They don't exactly pay the same prices for their manufacturing as the rest of the world lol

If you think non-Chinese companies using factories in China is cheap... well you should know the Chinese are paying WAY less (if at all, really... as they aren't faux-concerned with slave labor like non-Chinese companies are)

So setting expectations based on the Pico doesn't make sense.

i have several vr sdks,and the pico 4 rivals the quest 2 and even have pancake lenses so if sony wants to sell psvr2 games at a decent user base better have a good launch price,600 its doa,no matter how you people want to argue about that,they need to ajust the price as the same level as oculus quest 2 if they want to have any chance

psvr2 dont have storage ,no processor and no battery,these things add a lot to the price

PSVR2 probably has better screen (a lot higher refresh rate and OLED) and controllers (based on the specs we've seen so far), doesn't need battery or SoC cause it ISN'T standalone and it is powered by the PS5 and lastly there kinda isn't a substitute for it if you are a PS gamer, cause PS doesn't accept other headsets.

you are missing the point here,if a vr headset like pico 4( who is a very good headset) can cost 430 bucks with a processor,pancake lenses ( much better than fresnel) 128 gb and a battery,sony can put the psvr2 at 450 euros,they need that to gain a good entrypoint and have better adoption to sell more sofware (where they got the most amount of money) its pure logic

No, I'm sure most of Oculus is made in China and other places in South East Asia.

Do you know how that works though?

The Chinese pay even less than Meta would, for the same products.

Part of me feels like they are delaying due to ragnarok…even though they aren’t really marketing that much either lol

I dont buy that reason when people say it.
A.) There not exactly marketing it anymore than there other biggest games.
B.) Never has Playstation, Nintendo or the likes of Sega, Xbox, not spoke about there future games because they have a game coming out.. Just doesnt make sense. They’ve always hyped there fanbase with loads of gaming coming in the future.

They’ve staggered announcements and I did really enjoy Ronin announcement and but on the level of an e3 show, where they show loads of 1st party and 3rd party exclusives, they havent done that this year.
Why? Maybe waiting for the Activision/Xbox deal to finalise? Covid? Stock numbers, so not much point before Announcing a bunch of games?
Those are legit reasons I guess.

The other reason could be more negative? They might be having development issues with the 25 games Herman mentioned? Or they really havent got much to talk about like in 2018/2019 e3 shows? I hope those arent the case.

Or maybe this is just there new approach? Just drop in and mention 1 game here and there in the media with smaller shows too. Which isnt as exciting for me.

I think the previous stock issues and CMA might have something to do with it which is fine, that will be over soon and we can get a great show from Sony

Yeah idk theres a lot of stuff slated for next year that they will need to eventually market.

PSVR2 and the launch games, Final Fantasy XVI, one last push for Forspoken, Stellar Blade, Spider-Man 2, probably some expansions for games they have out already like Horizon, and im sure a few other games are ready if not for next year then for early 2024 that they would need to start talking about soon.

Maybe the truth really is that they are just gonna wait until after the holidays. Its not like they are on anyones time schedule at this point.
