All this power to play Remnant 2 looking like it was made by some guy following an internet tutorial on how to use Unreal.

The lack of well optimized games that make good use of the hardware that just work whiteout issues is the long lasting problem with AAA games on PC.

Yes, a compromised product that's still better than console. Where's the discrepancy?
The discrepancy is simple, the GPU might be better but it’s not better for the price it costs.
GPUs are overpriced. You don’t get what you paid for, you get worse than you paid for. The $900 cards do not offer $400 better experiencies than a $499 console, is as simple as that.
GPUs are basically a scam nowadays and it’s no way comparable as a luxury car.
Luxury cars comes with the status perks, you get more than a better car. You get status, better resale value, better customer service and whatnot.
A GPU it’s slightly better than a console, if even at that this day and age where developers are giving two shits about pc ports.

Ok, but a Ferrari doesn't go 100x faster than a civic despite costing 100x more?

Yet they're still desirable.

Expensive GPUs aren't there for people who are scraping pennies, they're there for people who are willing to pay for extra performance.

A $900 GPU will still require a CPU, RAM, CASE, MOBO, POWER SUPPLY, STORAGE, KEYBOARD/MOUSE/GAMEPAD.

Value is heavily in favor of a PS5 unless you are a pirate that doesn't pay for games. On PS5 you can still benefit from discs and these days you also get deeply discounted games and PS+ Extra offers great value.

When it comes to AAA gaming on PC you usually just pay a lot more to stutter on higher resolution.

No one is arguing value though?

If you want to play AAA games at high frame rates (120+) there is only one option: pay.

Who is playing these terrible ports at 120+ fps with no stutters? PC doesn't actually deliver that either, not even the most expensive rigs.

If we are talking about playing Dota, CS, LoL, WoW, Minecraft, etc, pretty much any GPU will do.

Well if they weren't terrible ports there wouldn't be stuttering would there? lol

The comparison is disingenuous at best and makes no sense at worst.

And? The point is that people buy luxury products for a luxury experience. People buy expensive video cards to experience smoother and/or higher resolution gaming. Also you're acting like expensive GPUs don't have better resale than cheap GPUs or consoles??

The point is that GPUs are overpriced because their added value is really low compared to their price. They do not offer significant performance over consoles and they don’t add perks to your lifestyle.
Unlike a Ferrari that both adds more perks and value to your life since it raises your social status, plus it’s a much better and comfortable car, more beautiful and it performs better than a regular car.
GPUs simply don’t offer what they charge you for.

To you.

Many people can afford to spend $600 to get the things they want.

People spend $5000 on mountain bikes that perform marginally better than $3000 mountain bikes.
People spend thousands of dollars on golf clubs when they can get by with a set that cost hundreds.
People buy a steering wheel set and cockpit for GT7 and PSVR2 despite not "adding perks to your lifestyle" because that's the way they want to experience GT7.

You just simply don't understand that some people value having high refresh rates and resolutions like that.

To you maybe, not to others. I'll buy a ps5 pro just so I can lock 60fps.
It's different... Still, I think all games I played on PS5 have a 60fps mode so close to "locked" that it makes the update pointless, and this is when they don't have a, unlocked mode that runs at 100+ fps (anyway, enough above 60 so that the 60fps mode doesn't feel that good anymore).

I want that 12k mountain bike with the wireless shifters 😂.
