So since we have Rise of the Ronin and Steller Blade have both been confirmed to have help from XDev/External development and both look great.

Who else would you else Sony to work with?

FromSoftware
Asobo Studio
Remedy
Now Japan and Korea both have their own XDev teams i think lots of studios are open? ChinaHeroProject will do the Chinese projects too.

Asobo is most likely tied with Xbox though.

Wouldn't be surprised if they're also helping out Arrowhead Studios with Helldivers 2.

Great picks.

I like what I am seeing coming out of Korea, really creative stuff... would like to see what a fighting game from Korea looks like.

I would like them to work with South Park Studios... however Ubisoft has the engine for that I believe.

Some really different stuff.

Most of them won't happen but if I had to choose:

XDEV Japanese team (former Japan Studio team)
From Software (Bloodborne 2)
KojiPro (Metal Gear spiritual sequel)
Bokeh (Gravity Rush 3, new IP)
Nagoshi Studio (new narrative focused IP without yakuzas or samurais)
NanaOnSha if still exists (Parappa The Rapper sequel)
Enhance Games (new puzzle IP similar to Lumines and Tetris Effect)
Platinum Games (AAA no GaaS hack 'n slash new IP by their best team)
Arc System Works (Demon Slayer)

XDEV America (former Sony Santa Monica team)
Future new studio with key RAD devs who worked for Sony (The Order 2)
Annapurna (LocoRoco)
Ember Lab (new IP)
Supergiant Games (new IP)

XDEV Europe (former Liverpool Studio team)
Stray's devs (new IP)
Roll7 (new IP)
Ballistic Moon, ex-Until Dawn devs (Until Dawn 2)
Sumo Digital (Sackboy 2, Little Big Planet 4 campaign as Dreams big standalone DLC)
Quantic Dream (new IP, Heavy Rain 2: Jason's Revenge)
Remedy (new IP)
Honeyslug (super psychodelic and weird new IP)
Arrowhead (Helldivers 2)
Rockstar North (Knack 3)

I would like them to work with South Park Studios... however Ubisoft has the engine for that I believe.
South Park: The Fractured but Whole was developed by Ubisoft San Francisco using the Snowdrop engine, same engine as The Division, Rocksmith+ or Mario+Rabbids.

Your Japan section alone is pure fire!

I wonder who tabata (ff15) is working with? He said he has 2 games with 2 un named publishers, one action and online focused, the other a more traditional rpg. Im assuming nintendo is one of the publishers because why wouldnt they be and i doubt it square because he just left them.

Are they are part of Xdev?
XDEV is the PS Studios division who publishes 2nd party games. In Japan they had a team inside Japan Studio publishing 2nd party Japanese games (Bloodborne, Death Stranding, Demon's Souls remake...), that recently with the restructuring ('closure' of Japan Studio) they branched out to get their own office outside Japan Studio and grew to publish not only Japanese games (as they did with Death Stranding Director's Cut or in the future Rise of the Ronin), but also ones made in the rest of Asia (as we saw with Stellar Blade).

XDEV is for 2nd party, but separated from them Sony has a 3rd party relations team which handles different initiatives like the big AAA 3rd party exclusives with a team, and PlayStation Indies helping the 3rd parties indies with other team, or different local initiatives to support smaller teams like China Hero Project in China, or PlayStation Talents to incubate indies in Spain.

The (AAA) 3rd party relations, PlayStation Indies, China Hero Project or PlayStation Talents are for 3rd party games, but obviously also help them to scout and build relationships for future potential 2nd party projects or even acquisitions or investments. If any of them end on a 2nd party deal (Sony publishing them a game) then that game gets moved to XDEV, who is who handles their publishing inside SIE.

TLDR: China Hero Project is to support Chinese 3rd party (self published by the 3rd party publisher/developer, not Sony) games so isn't covered by XDEV. But maybe some of these 3rd party relations (as in Stellar Blade) may evolve into a 2nd party project (Sony publishes the game), in which case that game gets moved to XDEV, since XDEV is who handles 2nd party publishing within SIE.
