I mean I spoke with a rep via chat, asked explicitly if this was an error (my account can't see them at all) and he said it was a glitch, not to worry they're working on it. He escalated my ticket so maybe it's a good idea to jump on a chat because it could end in getting it restored faster, or maybe even free points? No idea... But yeah if we take this random customer service reps word for it we'll all be fine.
If I had to guess they're trying add more options.
Games load in 1.1 seconds. You don't need a resume feature.
The feature of putting the console in standby and to resume it later exactly where you were still is there. You do when you're in-between save areas or checkpoints in games that don't have liberal saving.
Maybe it's a bug, maybe removed it because almost nobody was using it.Why?!

I assume this 'resume activity' is the button that allowed you to load the game skipping the menus and going directly to the most recent savedade / checkpoint.
Yes. I assume the default activity card they had there by default was whatever one you had to continue in the point where you were, basically just to load the most recent checkpoint skipping the menus, saving you a few seconds.I have never used the feature, but my impression was that it would load you into those specific activities on the cards (and remembers multiple activities), instantly. I wasn't under the impression that it was just quick resume where you were left off.
EDIT: So far seems like it's a glitch. Post from a Redditor who contacted support:
Guess if it's a revamp with more options coming, they'll announce something by Friday. They could have made a statement either via the dashboard or their Twitter & blog that it's a glitch, though.
