Again, zero chance they make Xbox games going forward (if this deal closes) and my guess is that PC games would be taken over by Nixxes just like any other PlayStation developer.

IDK, they may leave From alone. There's a significant technical skill gap that has to be bridged and they'd have to either retrain all the software engineering staff or co-dev with an internal studio like bluepoint.
Nixxes handles the porting of Insomniac's games to PC, not Insomniac and guess what not a single Insomniac game under Sony has launched on PC on day 1.
Sony is going to want Elden Ring 2, Bloodborne Remastered, Bloodborne 2, and Demon's Souls on PS5 first and then they'll port them to PC.
FromSoftware + Bluepoint + Nixxes = A cash factory.

I've already brought up Bluepoint. Miyazaki already praised them. It's clear Bluepoint has the technical prowess to speed up FromSoftware development and get their games to be more technically proficient.
Farming out the work to Bluepoint isn't a big ask. They made Demon's Souls without having a direct relationship with From and they did it without most of the staff knowing Japanese. You bring in some proficient Japanese-English speaking devs and you can make this work pretty easily.
This will get so much use out of Bluepoint and Nixxes, making them absolutely brilliant buys (they already were).
I never said this potential acquisition is exciting for me. But it's really delusional to say this acquisition is worse as Bungie. If Sony had bought them instead of Bungie first, then people would have accepted it more. With Kadokawa coming aside the Manga/Anime business several gaming studios:
Accquire (Tenchu, Octopath Traveler II, Mario & Luigi Brothership), Spike ChunSoft (Danganronpa). This is on paper definitely more interesting than Bungie. Keep shedding those tears.

They're both massive purchases with different objectives, but it guarantees for SIE substantial and consistent revenue on a near annual basis with pretty low operating costs.
Consider the following games

Elden Ring 2 PS5/PC
Bloodborne Remastered PS5/PC
These 5 games over the course of the next 6-7 years... you're looking at at least 50 million units sold and upwards of 3 billion dollars in revenue. Making this deal is an absolute no brainer.

Bloodborne Remastered - 5 million units
Sony would have recovered their investment within 10 years and added major publishing power for anime/manga.
