Part of it is to feel like the new is making "progress" over the old, simply by virtue of being newer. A bit of an entitled perspective, but it's not limited to just games. Movies, TV, music, hell society in general it happens regularly.
Yeah people seem to flock to whatever is new at the very moment and disregard the old thing.
I absolutely have no hype for Persona.
Since P3 they make the game a teen-stylishing-dating sim with some storiea, P4 is interesting because of the murder mystery but that is it about it.
Worse they milked their casts with garbage spinoff nobody cares.
Persona is just a poor man SMT anyway, no turn system, can't control party skills either.
And the calendar and level up social links bullshit take so much time.
And what is the fucking point of collecting all persona and complete full compedium if you get to use them only in 1 party turn?
SMT on the other hand, day one babe.
They need to put SMTV on the PS5/PC for 60FPS.
Yeah this is pretty much why I stopped playing p4. The storys interesting but I disliked the overall gameplay of going to school and all that. I thought It was a creative idea but I just want to go dungeon crawl a lot more. Not to say the high school setting is so overdone in anime.
