According to YouTuber MrMattyPlays, Starfield might not launch in the first half of 2023.

"Starfield is getting a possible bump out of the first half because it's currently undated," MrMattyPlays said in the latest episode of Defining Duke podcast. He clarified that the delay is not significant and that Starfield should still release this summer. "Still [coming this] Summer but possibly [delayed] out of the first half"

YouTuber added that the source who revealed this information to him was spot on before. "This source is someone that I trust quite a bit and they've been very correct...nothing from that source has been wrong," Matty explained.

imagine dropping out of this year....(i dont think is going to happen) but the pressure is on for this game to deliver; the scrutiny is going to be insane and the toxicity insane.

Scrutiny? nah. Microsoft got Halo to score in the 80s, they just need a few care packages sent to publications.

by the fans on social media.

and 'member....previous game was Fallout 76. (they gotta prove themselves)

if there was drama about "recycled" animations and pop-in and minor bugs in Ragnarok, Horizon respectively....just image the shitshow is wating for Starfield (taking into consideration recent Bethesda's track record)

Have predicted this since the delay. Don't know why anyone would be surprised. Have said since the delay, November 2023.
Well, all jokes aside, I think it's a good thing.

We all know just how just buggy Fallout games are, and we don't want a repeat of their last launch.

The more time and polish this gets the better it is for gamers.

Agree completely. I want Microsoft to delay the game(s) until they're 100% ready for release.

August seems anticlimactic for a game of this alleged caliber so I’d suspect September. Didn’t the first insomniac Spider-Man coming in September? Not saying insomniac will repeat but I don’t think Microsoft would want to go against spider man 2.

I honeslty couldn't care less. It's absolutely ridiculous how microsoft and its fans are bettings everything on a single game.
I have to add this one thing: people shit on SQEX pipeline left and right and seems to handwave the shitshow that Bethesda actually is and I can't understand why.
Is it a bias? Because SQEX is consistently delivering since they sorted out their problems with the Luminous and shifted to Unreal while Bethesda can't ffs get their shit together.

As if it actually will get any polish.

LOL
well, it has to help, I fret to think what state it would have been like if they had released it last year before the first delay,

I personally think they had a long hard look at not only fallout 74 but also the halo game and the reaction they got from Craig in particular, is probably warranting these delays.

I do like Fallout games, and one day I hope to play starfield on day, as far as i am concerned the more oven time it gets the better.
