A Reddit user named OrfeasDourvas shared their experience of playing the game on the Xbox Series X in Performance Mode. They described the performance as “not smooth” and the visuals as “a little dirty.” Despite praising the immersive weather effects and environmental details, they hoped for a substantial day-one patch to fix the current issues.

Regarding the A-Life 2.0 simulation system, which promises dynamic AI-driven interactions, the user noted they hadn’t seen enough of the feature to fully assess its impact. They speculated that this system might be contributing to the game’s performance challenges on consoles.

Watched some info.
Game apparently is eurojunk, but apart from that, game is great. Good Immersion, great survival game. Great world. Good sense of discovery. Always on edge with encounters.

Shouldn't tomorrow fall the embargo for reviews?

I can only vaguely remember the launch of Stalker 1 on PC and, afaik, it was a technical disaster, just like the first Witcher from CDPR. If Stalker 2 runs relatively bug-free then I don't see any problem with it not running particularly well on the Series X at 60 FPS.

No one should seriously expect a 4-year-old console, which also has obvious deficiencies in RAM management, to run in high resolution, full graphic details and 60 FPS. At least they offer 60 FPS. That will change next year. Kingdom Come Deliverence 2 is afaik only supposed to run at 30 FPS, Monster Hunter Wilds doesn't look good in performance mode either and the new Obsidian RPG is also supposed to run at 30 FPS despite - imo - worse graphics than Stalker 2. We can only hope that the PS5 port supports the Pro and that it will run better then.

The day one patch is nearly a rewrite. Might as well have delayed launch for a week or two.

Holy Hell 138.9GB Day One Patch, Might as well not have had Pre-Load as the patch is almost the full game size.

Back int day on the 360, the way it patched games meant it had to delete the game and do a full reinstall of the game, every time.
Whereas Sony could add the patch on top of the game.
Looks like Microsoft have gone backwards with their patch tech.

Just don't preload and download the patched version on launch day.

PC spec requirements for this are pretty light and the Series X is well above the recommended tier. I wonder what went wrong.
