Sea of Stars is VERY Overrated (IMHO)

I know reviewers love indies and so do many others but this game is mid.

the graphics and art style are great but beyond that it’s completely mediocre. Never seen such bad writing in a game.

i can’t help but compare it to chained echoes. That games writing was actually good, but the translation made a lot of the dialogue weird. I have no idea what grade school was allowed to do the sea of stars script

Nobody really seems to mention the story. I think the artstyle is the coolest aspect of it. Seems like another overrated indie game though.

Played it for about an hour then put it down. Very basic and turn based so I wasn't enjoying it.

I really have to start it tonight. I downloaded it as soon as it was available on PS Plus.

A lot of games are really "hype" and then you start it and it's nothing special. It's like critics have their own discord where they organize who's getting inflated scores this week.
