There’s no reason to assume it’s an acquisition. Could be JSR, new VF or they’re gonna unveil their “super game” or whatever that is. Nobody has ever officially teased an acquisition before.

Nor can you; it's illegal when dealing with publicly-traded companies (of which Sega is one). Insider trading (also illegal) would be rife.

And going by SEGA,s decision-making process, they will remaster it and make future remasters being made entirely dependant on how it sells.

Like the shit they pulled in the 360/PS3 days with scrapping completed remasters of Skies of Arcadia and Panzer Dragoon Saga, I think it was, over disappointing sales of Jet Set Radio and Space Channel 5 remasters.

Never forget, the reason Crazy Taxi remaster releases don't have the name brand locations is because SEGA paid the brands to be in the game, when the norm is for the brands to pay for placement!
