This looks like Sea of Thieves with absolutely none of the charisma, care or charm.

Dead game.

But unlike how sea of thieves launched this may actually have a good amount of content even if it looks generic as fuck.

Yeah but that doesn't matter with a service game though. Sea of Thieves has so much content now it's kind of insane. If a game is soulless it's always going to be soulless.

Never played sea of thieves, but it does sound like a decent game.

Yea now, but in the launch no one was playing that game after its grace period, and people dropped it hard. Wasn't until they had a big update and expansion style push people came back to it. Now its still super popular and a lot of people seem to have stuck with it.

I am happy for Rare as its their most successful game. But its also their only game they put out since 2010.

Yeah I always lovd Rare in the Nintendo and even 360 days with Viva Pinata.

Glad they got back to making games and SOT seems to be loved by a lot of people.

OK wanted to talk about something because I just saw a funny tweet about it, Ubisoft uninronically made its UX/UI very similar to the mock-up people did in “what if Elden Ring was a Ubisoft game?” meme, it’s so funny!

That's so hilarious, it's like someone wrote half a novel across the screen.... who thinks that is good?

Well for once I agree with you... although I think they will find some kind of audience eventually. A smallish once...
AAA GaaS Ubisoft games get higher audiences than Sea of Thieves without giving away them since day one in Gamepass.

I think it will do a good job specially once after some time after launch they tweak, balance, change or add all the main stuff they consider once a substantial amount of players get their hands on it and provide enough feedback. I'm talking actual players of the game, not people shitting on forums at anything with the Ubisoft logo on it who hasn't played it.

But it's a risky and unique AAA IP, so who knows. Ubisoft nailed it in terms of sales and audience many times with risky new AAA IPs, but always there is the change of fail.

I wonder if microsoft would take the chance of putting this on gamepass? It could be a good november game for them, it just in conflict with Sea of Thieves audience.
