It already exists, you pretty much described the Backbone (and many other gamepads for smartphones).

I know they exist I just think they're junk, and there's a lot of room for improvement in the segment. One with first party quality inputs, and a built-in battery would be a step up.

Yes, MS had the marketing deal with Cyberpunk 2077, which now I assume also includes its expansions.
