We have insane taxes. Right now is between 75% to 80% per game depending in wich part of the country you live. So if you see $60 game on steam you actually end up paying $105, of course we "have" regional prices, but taxes are so high that it doesn't matter that much.

Yes, I’m aware. Have been there myself, but everyone was lovely - nobody goose stepped in the streets or greeted me with zig heil which was weird
They have a lot of gamers, like everywhere else. But in their case the economics there are a shitfest, so they can't a afford to pay a lot for gaming. And for that reason most Steam games are cheaper there than in most other countries. But in addition to this, Argentina has an absolutely insane inflation skyrocketing every month.
