They say biggest Q2 but how much is this in billions? I don't know how to read all these slides. I don't see it sorry.

The numbers are down because 3rd party are weak on releases.

Game & Network Services (G&NS) is their PlayStation/SIE division, which generated 720.7 billion yen in sales/revenue.
This is comparing with the previous recent Q2s from Sony. Q2 FY2021 and Q2 FY2018 were the previous record holders:
If you want to get it in USD, you can use Google: they made $4.86B this quarter right now.
When converted to USD, the yen vs USD changes over time and now USD is particularly strong thanks to the war in Ukraine and sanctions against Russia. Meaning that the same amount of yens converted now will give you less dollars than if converted years ago. So if looking at the revenues using their original Yen value, it's the best Q2 ever. If instead of that you look at the USD conversion made using the exchange value they had the moment that each number was posted, this Q2 is the 2nd best one.
It wouldn't make sense, they obviously will keep releasing games on PC and will stick to the plan they already had. They just announced that GoW 2018 reached 23M units sold, which pretty likely means GoW sold over 3M on PC until now.
They also announced that Spider-Man had their best PC launch ever. Their previous best release was GoW 2018 selling 971K in two months and a half. Spider-Man PC was released around two months and a half ago, so Spider-Man pretty likely sold over 1M copies until now and has potential to sell over 3M on PC as apparently GoW already did.
Both Spider-Man and GoW will continue selling during years, specially when getting big discounts. Until now they only got a short -20% off discount. Same will happen with the other PC games they released.

Disagree on the closing arguments in the tweet. 3rd party content dried up, its a long known fact in gaming, no software equals poor performance/sales. If all it took was engagement to keep 1.9 million subs companies would have a gaming event every month or weekly.

Agreed and all, but GoW just plays better, at least for me. Gotta add that in before warriors jump down my throat again.Spider Man is far more mainstream and popular than God of War will ever be so that's why it sold more and will continue to do so but im sure you know this already.

Either 1st party sales on PC will be more than 1-10M PS players migrating to Steam or vice versa.
If PS loses 10M players moving to Steam and they are the hardcore big spenders like myself. Not only will they lose out on 3rd party sales on PS ( which is definetly more money than 1st party sales let alone 1st party sales on PC). They will also lose a percentage of 1st party sales to Steam being the middleman.
Console market is stagnating because of console sales for next gen. Otherwise last gen was one of the biggest money makers for consoles ever. Switch Sold there highest amount ever for a console/hybrid. PS4 sold more 1st party games than ever before and made more money than the PS2 era. Consoles were doing better than ever

Cry me a river. I don't break the rules here. Saying port begging makes no sense when PC is the best place to play EVERY game. It's not "port" begging when we get the best possible version of said game.
But I'm not gonna shit on ppl who play a game before me. I got a backlog out of this world, and my playtime in Spiderman and Death Standing show how much I care about Sony games.
Hopefully my gut feeling is wrong.... I want them to be recovered next quarter or at least over the next 2 quarters.
But as I have said before, it's not one thing, it's a combination of things that make me worried.
Port begging shouldn't be allowed.
Rules here? I hope PC warriors like you aren't allowed to run rampant here or this place won't last.
PC is not the best place to play games for everyone, including me especially with multiplayer games.

Name one person who port begs? Only thing I've heard of is Bloodborne which isn't even developed by Sony. Wanna name an actual Sony game which pc gamers are raving about? I'm about to expose you for saying some dumb shit.
It's getting really annoying. It's just become a carte blanche catch all for fanatics who are incapable of rational discussion. They call you a port beggar and in their mind it allows them to disregard anything you say.

So true. And here goes the reality, when there are threads about console sales, we don't give a fuck. PC gamers never look at steam statistics. We don't give a fuck about what the next person has. We can play any and every game. There's nothing to worry about on PC
