Not the HQ, the californian studios. The PS HQ will likely go back to Japan.
They are actually better of starting sister studios of their californian ones in Asia and slowly over the course of a decade get the sister studios upto par with the californian ones. Then they can just shutter down the the US based ones wholesale, nothing of value would be lost if commiefornia studios get shut down.

Even though the source can't be trusted, I wouldn't be surprised if this is true. They are working on a game with a live service component, so either this thing is successful or bend is gone.

No way. If that is true, wtf are they spending on the marvel games? A billion?

Could be. They probably paid a big sum to be able to develop several Marvel games. We know from tve Insomniac Games leak, that several Marvel games will release. But I think Sony is done with this kind of games. Too expensive.

Purely my guess I think it's around 500~ million USD for Spider-Man 2.

That comes from the 350 development budget + 150 million for licensing.

I assume that it's a license for a game at a time and not a pay for the license per year, because Sony wouldn't call it a "great success" otherwise if it was a license per year.

& Its likely going to get more & more expensive (the license), even FIFA was asking for 250 million USD for EA to use their name so EA had to stop using it.

Jeff Ross doesn’t know what he’’s talking about. He’s just bitter as hell

There’s no way Bends new game is already over 250m with no date in sight. Why would a new IP cost more than SM2 without an expensive licensing cost attached to it

It's supposed to release in 2026.
