What? You don't think their low sales of forspoken, ff7 rebirth and ff16 didn't tank their profit outllook. DELUDED!

Forspoken launched on PC at the same time and had the lowest sales of the games you mentioned.... Maybe they should have gone full exclusive with it and delivered a better product by doing so?

They also took some really dumb decisions, like releasing Octopath on Gamepass while skipping PlayStation platforms and porting FFXIV to the Series consoles, where it failed miserably.

To further reiterate this I just checked xbox most played games and there is only 1 Japanese game in the entire top 50 and its elden ring at about 40.

What about all the devs (majority) laid off or closed down tht created for PC, multiple consoles etc? Putting games on Xbox isn't worth it since ppl buy shit. Maybe switch but thts Nintendo fault with their hardware. Be careful what you wish for.

If you are using Japan as your primary market and you aren't using either phones or Switch as your primary platform then yes, you are fucking up. Now, for FF and that Frey game (forget the name) you probably aren't targetting JP as the primary market, but for all of their other stuff they are. They absolutely do need to be targeting Switch and/or phones.

It's not playstations fault forespoken was dog shit & they actually did square a favour by giving them money for exclusivity it's not like if they wasted more money on porting & releasing an Xbox version the game would've suddenly been better written & sold alot more the other 2 sold plenty

Media really did help and xbox shills to kill its momentum and overall undermined its marketing.
Found one cringe moment and ran like it is whole game.
It was hard to make a pushback when it is new IP.
Nor media nor shills never ever ran through hoops about any m$ games even if it is broken dog shit.
