Honestly this is not an impressive number. Zelda reported 10 million SOLD in a weekend. Or GOW 5 million in 5 days. I think this game might have flopped guys, it went under the mainstreams radar and didn't break thru.

Would love to see Nintendo and Sony start giving concurrent numbers too just to put Microsoft in place.

If Starfield is 1 million then GOWR was probably 5 million and Zelda TOTK 10 million.

Starfield needed to be more than just 1 million concurrent players. It needed to shift consoles and move Sony gamers to Xbox which is really hasn’t.

For reference to Fallout 4 was between 1.5m to 2.0m peak CCU on day one without Gamepass boost.

I wonder if the game reached 3 million sales in day one.

Only 1 million CCUs across ALL platforms? Steam, Xbox and PC GP, and paid console? That is absolutely balls to the wall pathetic. Mass-exodus-at-Bethesda-worthy pathetic. And CCUs for a single player game that's given away on GP is probably the most meaningless measure you can spit out for this game outside of "7 billion seconds spent loading" and "80 billion bullets fired".

And it won't come near Fallout 4's 12 mil launch sales either. They've cratered as a business.
