  • Starfield: Shattered Space debuts to mixed reviews on Steam. Main story is only 15 hours long at best.
  • Starfield's first DLC expansion has less than 600 reviews in 24 hours, with 57% of reviews being negative.
  • Many claim that Shattered Space is just "more of the same" and fails to make any noticeable improvements over the base game.

Starifled is no stranger to review bombs, and while Shattered Space isn't at the center of a review bombing, it is drawing an incredibly mediocre response from the game's community. Steam user Epsilon says that Shattered Space is "just as boring as the main game," before comparing it to Cyberpunk 2077's massively popular DLC, Phantom Liberty. The user explained that Shattered Space lacks great writing, believable characters, and any thoughtful expansion of pre-existing features, which were three vital elements that led to Phantom Liberty's critical acclaim.

Other Early Reviews also confirm you can beat the DLC in around 10-15 hours

Strange anomalies have taken shape in the form of maddened humans and horrors from beyond our galaxy. This expansion should take mostly players roughly 10 to 15 hours to see most of its sights, and you will have a blast while doing so.

This piece of shit is more egregious than whatever ubislop puts out. It is just plain old BORING, Game not even worth the waste of GBs to download it. Hulst should keep this shit away from playstation otherwise we will get the double whammy of borizon and midfield

It's just a template for modders to work on the next decade and create truly interesting stuff. Starfield and fallout settings are so boring. But if it's serves as a wake up call for TES VI so be it.

Lord knows we need it to be. I will not accept a mid TES after all this time 😅

The ballistic weapons in this have shit physics and AI is very dumb, every POI has same enemy placements- god forbid if they randomised it once or twice.

6+ hours into Shattered Space and yeah, im loving it thus far. Story said to be 15 hours is longer than what I was expecting so even better if true. The world itself is great and really liking the story and characters thus far. The new enemies definitely add a wrinkle to combat/gameplay and they're definitely harder and much more aggressive than in the base game. Don't know why anyone would expect Shattered Space to be structured any different than the base game. The only real difference is that everything in Shattered Space is hand crafted as opposed to generated and takes place on the single planet. To each their own but I have no complaints. 😂

They sent no review codes and you would’ve expected them to considering the bad word of mouth for the game, but guess there was no point if it’s just more of the lame shit with no improvement in sight.
