Steam now tells gamers up front that they're buying a license, not a game

On Playstation the main issue is that there's no choice so you're beholden to Sony. I think it's easier on Xbox to get codes on third-party marketplaces, and on PC you have key sites.

I think for most they don't want to kill physical gaming they just see the move to digital as inevitable. My question how will Sony support those physical purchases, or will they just expect customers to rebuy digitally?
I mean if the PS6 requires your to buy the drive separately gamer publishes will be inclined not to do physical releases

Another reason I decided to move away from PC gaming. I like and prefer physical media. I own lots of physical media including movies and CDs. With digital, you don't own anything. I tolerated PC gaming for a long time because the games were dirt cheap. But I don't want to any more. I want to actually own my stuff.

Your Mom
This is such a waste. Literally every one of my porn DVD/Blu-rays has said this for decades when you start up the disc.

The game and Tesco near me still sales games. So does CEX.
And online has plenty of physicl media for PS5/Xbox/Switch

Maybe digital games should come with an option to buy a physical from the publisher. £5-10 bucks etc

I mean on PC all you need to do I download a crack file and you get to play the game offline basically owning it forever on Console if the servers shut down or if you bought a game disc and it needs a day 1 patch or update you’re screwed unless you mod your console
