Because 3rd parties would be total imbeciles to stick with 1 platform while they can rake in more money. They wanted to put it on PC since release.
It just that they had a contract with Sony to be timed exclusive to PlayStation.
And seems like the deal was 6 months exclusivity.
Now they can launch where they want.
Today it is hard to see a 3rd-party exclusivity deal lasting more than several months.
Modded costumes my man, modded costumes..Looking forward to trying this on the pc although the pro has kind of scratched that itch.
Stellar Blade is a Sony owned IP yeah?pc players are used to gaas.
Sony games don't sell well on steam at all.
Stuff like Elden Ring or Hogwarts sold great... so maaaybe stellar blade will
I think there is more to do with $$$ side of things.Because 3rd parties would be total imbeciles to stick with 1 platform while they can rake in more money.
It decreases the value of your product. Permanently.Discount pricing tends to work pretty well for any digital media, since the marginal cost to produce another unit (license) is practically zero for the publisher.
Third party exclusives kinda make sense thoughI think there is more to do with $$$ side of things.
Timed exclusivity are way cheaper than lifetime exclusivity.
3rd-party are open to discuss both type.
Any 3rd-party will be happy to develop a game exclusive for you if you pay enough for it.
Price engineering helps to assign a $ price to the product which aligns with each individual customer's willingness to pay, or broadly drive sales during critical financial quarters. It decreases the value of your product. Permanently.
Doesn't matter. The hype is overStellar Blade is a Sony owned IP yeah?
Its a timed PS exclusive, not a Sony owned IP. So bringing Sony into the debate is a bit nonsensical.
It’s late port . There is absolutely no chance it will sell half of the ps5 versionAnd how do you know this? I asking because we very rarely evet get worldwide platform splits.
Dont underestimate the Korean/ Asian PC market my friend. It's HUGE and it will sell like crazy over there alone. It’s late port . There is absolutely no chance it will sell half of the ps5 version
