Their were barely selling like 5-10% of their games physically.

Digital all the way for me now it's way more convenient to have a game downloaded,preinstalled and ready to play day one instead of freezing to death in a midnight launch cue at a retailer.

Exactly, publishers are little by little not putting out physical. Even Hellblade 2 doesn't have a physical which is dumb.

Yep, it'll start with the major and publishers (who are already doing just that in the PC space) then trickle down - similar to £70 games.

And of course many indie games are already digital-only for obvious reasons.

This is kind of true and annoying. Games are shipped incomplete and digital patches are what eventually allow them to eventually become complete and playable.

I've said it before that Spencer was talking shite that the Xbone/PS4 era was the worst gen to lose due to digital libraries built. This is the worst gen to lose. Had Spencer planned long term when he took over a decade ago, the Series X (no S) would have been good competition for the PS5. You don't do the homework and then cram (aka use your daddy's money to cover the lack of preparedness) and they dopey cunt can't figure out how another gen is lost.
