The Game Award 2023 nominees will be revealed via a livestream that begins on November 13 at 9:00 AM PST, 11 AM CT, 12 PM EST, 5 PM GMT, and all other corresponding global times. The nominees across 30 different categories will be revealed during that livestream.

I feel that since the roster is stacked they’ll try to spread awards across each contender and give GOTY to Baldur’s Gate 3. Which, once you start making it about “fairness” it’s like why even have awards at all? Same issue the academy awards faces.

I don't understand the Resident Evil 4 nomination for GOTY. Clearly the last spot should go to FF16 because it's the one with the most noms.

More people on this panel (?) probably played RE4 to completion than FF16 I’d imagine. I’m highly against such a very obvious remake being nominated over a more blockbuster entry but that’s another topic I suppose.

A remake in a year as stacked as this is egregious

I wanted FF16 to be nominated, but I’d much rather have something like Armored Core or even HiFi Rush get a nominee over RE4.

Lol, Dave the Diver as best indie game. It was created by a multibillion dollar publisher. I mean, its a good game and I think I had it as my guess too (that or Pizza Tower) before looking into it further.

RE4 already won GOTY in 2005why is it getting nominated again there should be certain rules for remakes not to be included in the list
