One of their points of argument was that Xbox dudes would have to actually buy games.

While this is a legitimate business practice and part of Sony’s strategy for driving affinity for its console, it brings harm to any consumer without a PlayStation platform. Absent such agreements, I would have been able to play games such as Final Fantasy 7 Remake, Bloodborne, and Marvel’s Spiderman on my Xbox.
Neither of those games are first party... Sony doesn't own From Software, and they didn't own Insomniac at time of release.Did those idiots really add Bloodborne and Marvel's Spider-Man? Two first-party exclusives? What baloney!
How dare sony have exclusives?! That's anti consumer! Now buying the whole company, that's very pro consumer!Did those idiots really add Bloodborne and Marvel's Spider-Man? Two first-party exclusives? What baloney!
That gave me a nearly fatal dose of cringe.
Both games are first-party.Neither of those games are first party... Sony doesn't own From Software, and they didn't own Insomniac at time of release.
First party doesn't mean owned, it means developed by...Both games are first-party.
Sony owns Bloodborne IP.
Sony has the game license rights for Spider-man IP.
And to be fair where you get that bullshit that to be a first party game it needs to be developed by Sony? You can have first-party games developed by 3rd-party studios.
First party doesn't mean owned, it means developed by...
I have no ideia where you get these things…First party doesn't mean owned, it means developed by...
Yeah, no.I have no ideia where you get these things…
First-party means the IP is owned or licensed/publishing rights by the platform holder.
Who develop or who the platform holder pays to develop the game has no importance to be a first-party game.
lol, you are so far up Phil's arse you are literally breathing for him.Yeah, no.
Yeah, no.
You are veeeery very wrong.First party doesn't mean owned, it means developed by...
