Theres no major xbox or nintendo game out this year so he’s just defaulting to a multiplatform game
Biggest thing Elden Ring did for me was make me realize Souls games are stale. Next non ER game should be more like Sekiro.

Nintendo has had and will have a fantastic year. Arceus, Kirby, Bayonetta 3, Xenoblade 3, new Pokemon games, Splatoon 3. And have probably forgotten a few. I can see that's still disappointing because no new Pikmin, but great year nevertheless.

No, it's not for me. Pretty good but Horizon for now is clear winner. Horizon found its MOJO, while this Souls game lost it..
And I don't even rated Horizon before and love Souls games.

I mean, im not saying nintendo aren’t putting out good games this year im saying they aren’t putting out games that are definitive GOTY contenders which is why he’s using elden ring as ammo. None of the games nintendo is releasing this year are even in contention. It’s like their B-A tier line up, not their S tier mario/zelda stuff.
If BoTW was releasing this year we’d see a bunch of people writing Ragnarok off in a similar way

Yea, that's too bad unfortunately. I never judged TLOU2 due to political reasons. I haven't even played it yet but look forward to the experience with no predetermined bias against the game.
