There is supposedly a Solar storm that is gone to hit earth soon and destroyed us all

This is some scary shit. Supposedly it can wipe out all the satellites, so no more GPS or Internet and the world Powergrid might also be destroyed. We would be like going back to the stone age. So if it does happen this is it guys the end.

The earth is 1 proper big solar fart from not being able to sustain life, mother nature doesn't care. However, it's extremely unlikely that we're ever hit by an ELE from the Sun, so relax, we'll harakiri before the sun takes care of us.

It does not happen all the time though.
Solar flares are very common.

During solar maximum, Earth gets hit by solar flares multiple times a day. During solar minimum, it can be once per week or once every couple of weeks. Even X-class solar flares, which are considered the biggest/strongest type of solar flares, hit Earth 6-10 times a year.

Those one are small happens all the time, while this one is bigger & can do serious damaged to our power grid and satellite. The Earth magnetosphere won't protect us from that kind of power if the sun unleashed it. Let say if The Carrington Event happen today we all would be totally fucked, we can kiss the modern world as we know it goodbye it would take decades and decades just to rebuild.

Sure, but those event's are very rare.

Aw what? Guess im done sunbathing for the day lol

I actually wonder what would happen if we, as a species, realised how fine the balance is between the conditions being there for us existing and not existing. From solar flares to giant meteors, to the earth being inside the goldilocks zone, to the atmosphere having breathable oxygen. Perhaps we'd be more appreciative that we evolved for this planet and to a very particular set of conditions that are rapidly being altered by our action (and not corrected by our inaction).
