To be honest with people here what good has activision done for video games in the last couple console gens?

They also have a massive back catalogue of games. You have franchises like Crash, Spyro, Tony Hawk, Wow, COD and King which is a behemoth of a company in itself. It'll be interesting to see what they do because most of their franchises they now have are best suited for multi-platform and I honestly can't see MS flipping a switch and being like it's all on Xbox now it's just far too much money for them to leave on the table and now they have to pay for this purchase. I think for MS just being able to put COD on gamepass day one will help them cause that is a pretty massive value for a lot of people. I can definitely see some smaller titles going first party only but their big ones will most likely stay multi-platform at least for several years to come.
Ubisoft controls streaming rights to the entire backcatalog in perpetuity outside of the EU. Those titles will never truly leave the PS ecosystem until Ubi can't be bothered to keep the servers on.

They were really on fire during the 360 / PS3 genation, just as multiplayer hit its stride, they had COD.

As others have said, combining characters into Skylanders, Tony Hawks, Guitar Hero, Transformers games and even Spider-man.

But since then? Nothing but cruising and doubling down on COD's success and popularity. It's become a factory for the same type of game annually.
It's not a creative pursuit in this regard anymore. Just new skins on the same concept.
I don't like Bobby's latest push (abandoning console outside of Cod to focus on F2P and GaaS in the PC and mobile markets) but stuff like Warzone, Diablo, Overwatch, etc is very innovative, very successful and very much going to be copied by competitors. That is what we are losing here, not multiplats of a set of games that most people here (including myself) do not give a fuuuuck about. I don't think its monopolistic since MS isn't really in that market to begin with but it is sad from a "mooar money" perspective. All those gambling-addicted dribbling retard sheep won't be as effectively gouged now.

In my opinion if you look at what’s really killing traditional gaming it’s them stupid mobile games like fortnut attracting whale consumers that pump money into the game for a Stupid skin you can get for free in any game you want. I’ve said it before but there needs to be some regulation in that regard before gaming becomes a giant pay to use slot machine.

COD has been industry changing.
They’ve done more than most publishers

Last ABK game I loved was Sekiro. They put out some real garbage, them leaving PS will only make the brand more quality.
It wasn’t even their game. From published in Japan abk published it internationally. From holds the rights. I see Xbox 🤡ass fanboys talking about sekrio 2 is going to be exclusive to Xbox and I’m just lmao.

They did a lot. Cod, wow, that music games....whatever we like it or not.

But honestly i dont see good future ahead for them. Majority of studios re supporting cod to keep it alive. New one ll be just copy of old games. How long ll users buy this shit? Overwatch s done. Diablo s in awful place and even that releases once a decade. I dont think they have enough man power zo deal with some small ips.

Are they ever gonna make wow 2?
