UK Breaks Record For Highest Temperature

I found it a bit crazy and like most here are from UK decided to talk about it.

UK today reached 40.2 Celsius (104.5 Fahrenheit) that apparently is a historical record. While it is considered high even in south hemisphere countries (Brazilian record is 44.8C from two years ago but 40 is more common) it is really a suffering experience for countries that have a way lower average temperature like UK.

That is actual environment temperature and not sensation temperature that is affected by humidity, wind, etc and can be way higher like 50C.

So how do you UK guys, girls and others are facing that big climate disaster?

It's been a bad last 3 days, but today was unreal I am looking at my PC room's temp atm and it's 32.5 degrees atm.(its midnight here in the UK) My area had some rain about two hours ago, the streets were wet, but 10 mins later everything is dry, you would not even know if it rained, the concrete/roads are so hot.


Temps coming down a lot tomorrow, still too warm IMO, i like the 18-20 temps, today was 38.1 here tomorrow it's 27.

I believe if you are not used to high temperatures you blood pressure drops… can even cause fainting.

Drink a lot of water… all the time… more better.

All I can say is that as someone who lives in the southern part of the US, thank God for central air conditioning.

Feel for my UK brevs... Seattle is similar in that we aren't wall to wall air conditioning everywhere and it's miserable when it gets that hot. I even know people in brand new $1.5 million homes that don't have AC.
