I was absolutely melting. The grey skies and colder weather now are very much welcome.

Side note about Brasil.

São Paulo had it hottest June since 1943 (whey the country started to track temperature).
It has been 43 consecutivos days without raining.

I hope this 2nd heatwave lasts. Not just cause it's Britian and we rarely see the sun and get it's heat; but it's nice to sit in back garden and chill instead of being in the same four walls.

I hope it eases a bit. My house is new and I get sun on my office side basically for half day. It's close to unbearable inside, my office reaches 32 to 34 degrees, making it close to impossible to work. My computer regularly overheats if it's plugged in to the charger.

It weird the last two days is being cold here in Brazil… it reached like 3 degrees Celsius in São Paulo at night on Wednesday.

I know it is the end of winter here but even so August most of times are very hot.

Not too bad here this week but my house still gets way too hot when it's in the 80s.

Highs are in the 26-31C range for those not familiar with Fahrenheit dumb units.

I found it a bit crazy and like most here are from UK decided to talk about it.

UK today reached 40.2 Celsius (104.5 Fahrenheit) that apparently is a historical record. While it is considered high even in south hemisphere countries (Brazilian record is 44.8C from two years ago but 40 is more common) it is really a suffering experience for countries that have a way lower average temperature like UK.

That is actual environment temperature and not sensation temperature that is affected by humidity, wind, etc and can be way higher like 50C.

So how do you UK guys, girls and others are facing that big climate disaster?

Most fishes can’t survive at that temperature @Sircaw :p

You simply can't compare Brazil and other countries closer to the equator to countries on the far edges where O-zone is apparently fucked and exposure to blazing hazardous UV is much higher.
