Me and my niece brought it in the sales this last month.
I paid R$83 for PS5 and she paid $79 for PS4... it is ~$14 when converted.
For me it was dumb to have to buy the game twice because she uses my PS4 with my account as primary
But Hogwarts Legacy has separately versions.

I did not play it yet but watched my kid playing... it is really well done.
The history is interesting too (apart from the books).
He is loving it.

My kid become Harry Potter fan due Lego Harry Potter.
My niece was already fan from the books... she wanted the game for months already.

My son never was into Harry Potter, so the game hasn't even crossed his mind.

Something I should say here... the castle is just too big... even watching I got lost and he ask me how to back to some places I have no ideia.
And the circular stairs can make you a little dizzy... my kid got confused with these stairs and go in circle ... he start to go up but at middle change direction to down and back to initial place... he doesn't even realize that until tries it again.

I brought the game more for my niece but I thought you have only one option to buy lol
So I brought the PS5 and when I gone on her home to install it I could no find it.
After I researched on PS Store and realized the PS5 version doesn't allow to play the PS4 version... so she ended buying the PS4 version.

And of course the Brazilian's deal in October was crazy... it was like ~$14 when converted.
No wonder the game keep in the TOP spots in sales.

I am glad it wasn't just me that thought this too. It's huge, and it was easy for me to get lost in it. And I felt the same way about the stairs. I might move it back up my queue after I finish Forspoken.

Well, it sucks that you needed 2 versions. But, there are worse things in life. You are very nice to your niece!

Call of Duty engagement following the release of Black Ops 6 can only be defined by the term "bonkers." We've yet to see anything like it in our engagement tracking data. Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 sales (excluding subs and add-on content) are also doing VERY well. More on that next Friday.

There's been an ongoing debate about Game Pass and its impact on sales and it's never been settled because... it depends. Sometimes it helps sales (especially through virality), sometimes it hurts. After two weeks, my take on this one is that it may not have helped, but it also sure didn't hurt.

I reserve the right to change this take. But so far, I don't think what's happening with Black Ops 6 and Game Pass is going to settle the matter or even change anyone's mind on what they believe happens when a game is put on Game Pass. So, we've got that going for us. Which is nice.

Oh, the positive impact on engagement is crystal clear. Big gap between XBS and PS5 on that mark. The sales question is far trickier. And really depends on what someone defines as 'success'.

Selling games as success metric = revenue at day one that pays the bills.
Engagement as success metric = praying to most of these engaged buys at least some DLC / Pack / Skin to try to have some revenue that can end up paying the bills.

Well at least with engagement metrics you can lie more to investors

Yeah how many people are playing a game is pointless. How long are they playing and are they buying anything from the game that shows they’re really interested besides just trying it out for a little bit? Games can be rented and borrowed still.

Unit sales will always be king.

Yes, what is success, really? Is it full-priced sales, with 75% of them being on the platform with the most affluent user base and just as likely to buy MTX ss before?

Is it giving the game away to freeloading losers who won't buy your MTX?

Is it selling the game at deep discounts in humble bundles to pump up units sold comparisons?

We'll never know.
