Remote play is just the start. Cloud streaming will eventually come to portal.

I wouldn't count as rumor somehing said by a random internet user with no track record of having leaked anything.

But we know Sony has been working for many years to bring PS cloud to mobile devices, so down the line, when they consider it's the time they'll release a PS cloud gaming for Android. And I assume that once they do it they'll update the PS Portal firmware to support it.

Thats zuby‘s brand of intel sharing, its very “water is wet” type shit, ok source for folks on twitter but for folks on forums like this, era and gaf not so much.

If they were to bring it, how would they implement it? Because if someone can buy the portal without a PS5 and just stream games, wouldn't that undermine the reason for buying a PS5? Especially if the customer is content with only streaming games to play them? Additionally, the system would likely cause lag if it's streaming through an already streaming PS5.

I already preordered a portal, so I am good to go if this news is true.

How is it a net negative for Sony to sell you a Portal and a PS Plus Premium sub without a PS5? It is still making them money.

I’m not saying it’s a negative to me but it all depends on the profit margin they gain on a sale of the portal vs the Ps5 if it’s a negative to Sony.
