680 dollars?

Makes the PS5 Pro look like a bargain.

Of course the PC Crowd won’t have an issue with this price and neither will they flood the forums with their recommended PC Builds.
I do. It's way overpriced for what it is. A niche product. As is the PS5 Pro. Both aren't worth the retail price imo.

Hell i'd pick an MSI Claw or RoG Ally over this since it's limited to Steam.
The Ally and Claw are not limited to SteamOS (Windows 10 based) and therefore have the biggest library of any portable device. Retro, indies from all storefronts etc. Those are more but not totally worth the 680 price tag.

Steamdeck was impressive when it first came out, but is already surpassed by other systems which might be more expensive or equal but they at least have access to the complete games library a desktop pc has access to. The Steamdeck doesn't.

So battery life factored in: no, its not even near worth it.

Cant even see who your replying to, but some of PC fanboys are just rampant on here, they come here to just talk about Playstation. Probably an offshoot of Jahgamer lol.

Guess what, Half life 2 anniversary is coming up soon.

Valve and its fanboys are the only people who arent expected to release games multiplatform, while moaning about everyone else has to do it.. I wonder why… and theres always an excuse
I actually do think they should port these multi-platform if they haven't already. Exclusivity doesn't really drive sales of anything on PC.

But, but, but exclusivity is the sauce of console/ platform wars. ;)

Serious take: I think exclusives should exist. If every box with a controller and HDMI port can play the exact same stuff, all identity will be lost.
Every choice in life has pros and cons. Why should gaming hardware be different.

Typically, for hardware sales, this is where feature exclusivity starts to become a selling point. All vacuums suck, but I paid premium for one recently which had a laser head attachment. (Genuinely lifechanging purchase, so good FYI)

Price to performance would be the other identity factor for the multi-platform "boxes." If you purchased a really cheap box, you'd probably be able to play most games; however, you'd lack the graphics power to run the AAA new releases, creating a form of exclusivity by price point.

In short, even if publishers were to remove market exclusivity, other "exclusive" features would begin to be touted as selling points IMO.

Yeah I think platform features and stuff like freeonline is what brings/keeps the customers on steam more so than exclusive games
Especially since Valve really doesnt make many games and most of there games have been on other platforms before

I would have preferred to buy it in white those 2.5 years ago, but I don't think just releasing it in white warrants a "special edition" moniker and a price hike.

I was expecting a huge outcry that would break the internet after what happened to PS5 Pro and nothing 🤐

How bizarre.

Wouldn't the PCMR sort of... by definition... not care about the PS5 Pro, since they only buy PCs?
don't care, but you find them all over internet shitting on Pro.
