I'm just saying nostalgia is a thing.

Even if MS were to simply leave the old games and guitar connectivity in the past in terms of backwards compatability, 2 modern games series, with actual working xbox series guitars, a unified/carried-forward song dlc store, would clean up.

Sure, just like a new Conker and Banjo-Kazooie would clean up. Given MS history all the less important/forgotten stuff will be ignored and they'll focus on milking the big IPs to death.

With respect to those two, I'd say GH has a larger cultural nostalgia alongside people just enjoying the old games.

Couple of rounds of GH before/after pub, or if money/cover issues outright replace a night out. It comes up every now and then within my friends. If the older games weren't locked to 360 which is dusting away in a cupboard somewhere, or most of the guitars in circulation weren't broken pos, we'd at least have a GH night a month or something.

If not us 30-40s guys being nostalgic on our college/uni days, some of us have kids or young babies by now, couple of years to get into the next gen, and between GH and COD, XB set up pretty nicely in terms of casual audience.

Guitar Hero is massive, don't kid yourself. Casuals picked up a console just for that game, in the same way casuals picked up a wii for the wii sports and bowling or whatever.

Kinect was also massive they should try to revive it.
