Everyone keeps bringing up Mario Run, but what about Pokémon Go? It's Nintendo's biggest IP and it's absolutely multiplatform, particularly as it's available on the main competitors for a Switch user's time i.e. mobile phones/handhelds. They continue to lease/develop content for it and it had generated 6b of revenue by 2020.

Nintendo is never going back to being a single-ecosystem-exclusive developer because they struck gold with multiplat. They're not pushing Mario Odyssey to PS3/Vita because the market's not there, the game isn't suited for that demographic, and they know they need exclusives to justify their hardware's existence given the appalling and chronic lack of third party support.

Gamers only look at what they think impacts them directly.

These people aren't playing Nintendo games in the first place. They aren't arguing about switch over mobile.

They're largely ps fanboys who thought winning the console war would mean exclusive games and sole focus on console for sony, but instead it has resulted in sony looking at expanding their reach and they don't like it.

Sure, expanding their reach by flopping and tainting their name.

Lego Horizon is number 1058 on Steam, this is similar to Unknown 9, the big flop from Bandai everybody is laughing about.

It is so low you can't even see it in the top 1000 under Best Sellers 😬

Might be the biggest flop of the year after Concord and Until Dawn. All from the same publisher. Good for them to reach these customers in the toilet.
