We engage with gaming with blinders on. It’s us and the screen…. But there are moments where our love and fandom gets platformed in special ways in which we get to share it with others. Concerts, tournaments or now rare trade show.

As with most things in the industry… in the beginning there was street fighter

In 2002 TWW had fans treating Zelda like Concord. Then after years… they think they got what they wanted (twilight princess kinda sucked). But my reaction was the same as this …

E3 2006, the ultimate triumph of Nintendo and their futuristic motion controls over the bullshit and spin of Sony's grill.

Xbox was also present.

Not strictly gaming in the sense of playing but it's still pretty damn epic.

The whole PS4 E3 launch was pretty incredible. The underdog, Sony, hits point after point on what makes a console fun and desirable, while Microsoft - the gaming giant riding high from success of the 360, stumble and offer the most tone-deaf console ever to be created.

It was simplicity Vs over-reaching Orwellian tech.

The game sharing, the RAM reveal, the price, the design, the games...Sony absolutely nailed it. PS4 was their best console for many, many reasons.

The "fistbump" and star wars Kinect E3 shows from Microsoft were incredible for all of the wrong reasons. They were some the best at highlighting how out of touch MS has become.

The best highlight of that idiocy was the TV,TV,TV presentation for the launch of the Xbox one. Absolutely incredible how dumb the whole concept was. It's still the worst launch of an electronic product in history.

I think it was more Sports and entertainment? Not tv as much?

This one still lives rent free in xbots heads. They are still hurt, and not only xbots but xbox management too.
And they damn well should be. Mattrick was a total fucktard.

This was the defining moment for me. Exit Xbox. Welcome PS.
I cancelled my order for the One right after initially seeing this shit. He's an idiot.

That EVO moment was so awesome and unique, it's the one I'd choose from eSports because of the crazy mastery and skills that shows to make that epic comeback.

Regarding conferences, I'd say the Sony conference where they announced in the same show the long rumored and demanded FFVII Remake, The Last Guardian and Shenmue III, which for many people were almost impossible dreams: many people wanted them but in many cases not as something realistic.

The crowd reaction to Evo 37 is incredible. The volume just keeps peaking to batshit levels. The scene would not be where it is today if it wasn’t for that fight in particular.

I Think the twilight princess reveal still unmatched.
FF7 remake, RE7, and RE2 Remake reveals were close but Nintendo's E3 2004 presentation is still the best to this day imo.

Also does anyone else miss when one of the higher ups use to reveal consoles in person?
Reggie pulling out the DS from his Jacket, Satoru Iwata pulling out the revolution from his jacket. Ken revealing the PSP and PS3. Also the reveal of the xbox 360 slim was pretty cool.
E3 2016 was peak. Nothing comes close to it.

First RDR2 trailer was great followed by Goty 2018 announcement.
What was the goty 2018 announcement?
