I see only a issue with these estimates.
Where are you guys getting the PC side of sales for the math?
There is no data about it.
In my case, I use the most accurate quick estimate for AAA games on Steam released in recent years: user reviews from SteamDB (382,343 as of now) x 25:
50:50 -> 9.56M (PC), 19.12M (total)
58:42 -> 9.56M (PC), 16.45M (total)
60:30 -> 9.56M (PC), 15.93M (total)
In this case, reducing the estimate a bit because they had server issues at the start, which normally causes an increase in reviews.
So my personal guess would be around 13M-16.5M. In any case, would be above the 11M menttioned for GoWR.
But it's just a personal guess, not any official numbers.
Maybe in the next quarterly report (Q4 FY2023), hoping for an update for the other games too.
Yes, pretty likely they are waiting to show there some impressive number. The game has great user retention and since the start shown good legs with sales, still getting top sales ranking positions in its 2nd month, so very likely will continue selling very well until they release the fiscal report.
I assume their plan is to announce there something like 20M or close, some huge record way bigger than Spider-Man 2 and GoWR records, to brag in the report about their GaaS and PC strategies being so successful, trying to keep the attention away from some bad news like having cancelled a few games, Pixel Opus and London Studio closures and having fired around a thousand people.
