Maybe in the next quarterly report (Q4 FY2023), hoping for an update for the other games too.

3 days after release the Arrowhead CEO they had around 1M players:

He also mentioned that the player split back then was "about 50-50", so I take it as the only official number:

It may had changed since then, but considering these first months sales almost a 60-40, something like 58%-42% would also fit because shooters are more popular in EU and specially USA. Being conservative that would mean around 13M-16.5M assuming a 58-60% of sales being in PC right now, maybe a bit less if being specially conservative.

We also have to consider that "around 50-50" doesn't mean exactly 50-50.
I see only a issue with these estimates.
Where are you guys getting the PC side of sales for the math?
There is no data about it.

In my case, I use the most accurate quick estimate for AAA games on Steam released in recent years: user reviews from SteamDB (382,343 as of now) x 25:

50:50 -> 9.56M (PC), 19.12M (total)
58:42 -> 9.56M (PC), 16.45M (total)
60:30 -> 9.56M (PC), 15.93M (total)

In this case, reducing the estimate a bit because they had server issues at the start, which normally causes an increase in reviews.

So my personal guess would be around 13M-16.5M. In any case, would be above the 11M menttioned for GoWR.

But it's just a personal guess, not any official numbers.

Maybe in the next quarterly report (Q4 FY2023), hoping for an update for the other games too.
Yes, pretty likely they are waiting to show there some impressive number. The game has great user retention and since the start shown good legs with sales, still getting top sales ranking positions in its 2nd month, so very likely will continue selling very well until they release the fiscal report.

I assume their plan is to announce there something like 20M or close, some huge record way bigger than Spider-Man 2 and GoWR records, to brag in the report about their GaaS and PC strategies being so successful, trying to keep the attention away from some bad news like having cancelled a few games, Pixel Opus and London Studio closures and having fired around a thousand people.

I'm not saying this "x25 user reviews" are wrong but I don't things they can be proved either.

The only estimated I found in the internet are...
By PlayTracker with a 40/60 that means ~8 million total.
By Gamalytic is 8.9 million total.
By VG Insights is 11.4 million total.
By SteamSpy with a 40/60 that means ~50 million total.

I will just discard SteamSpy because they are really very very very innacurate.

PlayTracker and Gamalytic has the most closer numbers.
VG Insights is higher than others.

Even using the estimates I can't see how it is around 13 million like people are estimating here.
I don't think the game crossed 10 million yet.

IMO the PlayTracker and Gamalytic looks closer to the actual numbers than the others trackers / estimates.
With a 46/54 split the PlayTrackers shows very similar numbers to Gamalytic.

Edit - Maybe I got no response but I asked on Twitter if they already crossed 10 million.
