In twitter each vote in a poll counts as engagement for the tweet/account for the Twitter algorythm. It also helps them to double check how popular are their game IPs by the overall people on their Twitter, not only their customers.

Because it's marketing via social media, engaging an audience with phone in hand or sat at a desk to think and maybe comment about the biggest Sony games, share with the friends, post on forums and reddit, and then maybe people go home tonight and play some PS rather than watch Netflix, possibly even spend some money.

They don't really GaF about what that audience actually thinks in playing off these games against each other, they've got any numbers that really matter locked in their databases already, so doing this via the console you're already using would gain no additional engagement on top of no worthwhile data.

Bloodborne is my gotg and I've put over hundreds of hours. Opinions and all tht but nothing comes close for me.

No reason why it should have been excluded from such list especially with a 92% meta.

In general though, any vote that's open to the general public is mostly a popularity contest.
Spider-Man was always going to beat Returnal. Even if BB had been included, it would have stood little chance against something as popular as God of War.
