Will people keep the same energy regarding Metroid Prime Remaster that they have for TLOU Part 1?

I see the argument that we can still play a fairly updated version of tlou but
It’s like is t that a better deal? You have a choice to just play that version if you want, you get an option.

Nintendos lack of backwards compatibility is basically forcing people to buy the new one if they want to play it

2017 until now is a long time just for a port. I imagine it’s a skeleton crew and done as cheaply as Nintendo only can.

However… Retro is a premier game dev. It’s not like we’re dealing with 343 here…

Would be hilarious as an experiment to see what 343 would do with it.....

I will graciously lay down 60 of my hard earned coal-shovelling dollars for a Metroid Prime HD collection.

Whether it compares favourably to the latest 4K story-driven remake drivel is simply out of my jurisdiction. I am not a PS gamer, nor a lover of great narratives, I am merely the A in T&A. Not a lot of narrative there.

However, the greater question of whether this supposed remake is likely to be a Christmas "killer-app" for a system that appears to have already puffed its last Choo Choo is a resounding NO.

Remakes rarely tickle the fancy of the fickle mind that yearns for something new.

Uh… hard comparison. I guess it really depends on what they do. A Metroid Prime remaster would be welcome (Skyward Sword was great and aged well), but a bit perfunctory. I would probably have an amazing time playing it on the Switch, but there wouldn’t be anything stellar about the release itself. TLoU1 would be more interesting as a release.

If it’s a remake… Kermit gifs. Lol. At that point, I’d be really excited to see how both turn out.

Yeah I’ll keep the same energy. I think it will be way worse as a “remake” than TloU. And not worth the asking price.

I will likely buy both games.
