Sad how this is a headline. Honestly I dislike MS too but the discussion around this game is depressing. Bunch of people wishing the death of NT, just so their “Ms evil” narrative can be more accurate

I mean Jez's hopium is understandable, especially considering recent happenings at xbox.
But while having a new project get greenlit past the very conceptual phase is just an argument against layoffs/shutdown, it's not really a huge protection against it.
Like other have mentioned in the past, if Insomniac can get hit by layoffs after shipping Spider-Man 2...

A few years ago I was already almost there, but the pandemic causing games to get delayed in a public manner for X months(sometimes by up to a year) and this is where I'm at.
Achieved Gaming Nirvana for real.
Honestly, I would not be surprised if certain studios that were not able to acclimate to work from home had some internal delays of over 2 years on their games.
For example, It is almost certain that some Japanese publishers/studios who live in their offices for sure were hit extremely hard. Their loss of efficiency month to month must've been absolutely ass for a long long time.
After redfall forget who it was Matt booty or Phil Spencer said there was no plan to shut down arkane Austin & now they've shut it down lol
London Studio also had a greenlit game and were actively hiring. Sony still shut them down.
I hope Ninja Theory doesn't get shut down though and can at least go independent like Toys For Bob did.

I saw someone link to the preorders for Hellblade the other day. If I recall, it was not doing well on the list.
I really hope they don't get shut down but this is Microsoft we are talking about.
Personally, if it was up to me and this is true, I would have Ninja Theory in video form with the studio head saying that Microsoft has green lit their next project during the Xbox Games Showcase Extended which is two days after the main showcase. This would boost morale and confidence for those working there and if the game some how gets cancelled down the line or the studio is closed, this would bring even more heat on Microsoft due to announcing that their next project was green lit. Of course, this is just what I do if it was up to me.

A bunch of sad people are buying this game (even if they have no interest) because of the big astroturfing "Save Ninja Theory" campaign. It was number 235+ last week and now number 27. By the weekend nobody will remember this "game" and it will be outside the top 50 where it belongs.
