  • Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty has received a total of 70% negative reviews on launch day.
  • Most of the negative reviews reported mouse and keyboard control issues.
  • The game also has lots of performance issues with the PC port of the game.
Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty has received a slew of negative reviews on Steam due to its terrible mouse and keyboard support. Currently, the game is sitting at around 3,000 reviews, with about 70% of them being outright negative.

Most of the negative reviews seem to hold poor optimization for the game’s mouse and keyboard controls, while others report performance issues for the PC port of Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty.

Note that the game’s demo was available for a while before the game’s release. The mouse and keyboard control issues were also present in the game’s demo version.
As reported by the reviewers on Steam, there have been a fair number of performance issues with the PC port of the game. Given that it is the launch day, the devs would likely release patches to fix most of the performance issues in due time.

Additionally, the action RPG has crossed 75,000 players on Steam. The number refers to Steam concurrent users only, as the game is also available on Microsoft Store for purchase.

PC is a microsoft/xbox platform, amirite fellas 🤭🤭🤭 @adamsapple

Strange that a game with Microsoft marketing can't get a PC port right.

This is a case of the game being the first DX12 title for the team. DX12 simply requires the developer to properly handle allocating memory as well as pre-compiling shaders. Nioh and Nioh 2 perform silky smooth but those were DX11 where the IHV drivers were doing all the work.

That said, yea some japanese developers don't really give a shit about properly implementing keyboard and mouse support.. but lol who the fuck wants to play a game like this with a keyboard and mouse anyway?!

Elden Ring had similar issues and it was also FROM's first DX12 title.. that games issues have been fixed since then and I play Elden Ring at 7860x3200 ultrawide at 60fps locked now on my 4090.

There's a lot of Japanese developers that love PC though.. like Capcom for example. FROMSOFT too. As far as singular platforms, their games sell best on PC 😎

And you have the option to use a controller. So given that option.. why play a game like this with mouse and keyboard?
More precise camera controls. Although I prefer to play 3rd person action games on controller, the camera auto movement in this game sometimes is not very good particularly when trying to follow fast moving enemies (at least in the gameplay I've watched), so I'd prefer to use a mouse where I can control exactly where I'm looking, even if wasd movement is inferior to thumbstick for this type of game.

Stop to suffer with these platforms that don’t deliver.

The comfort and easy of play with PS5 is unmatched.

There is one platform where you can get first class citizen treatment. It ain't on PC.

PS5 versions are prioritized and there is nothing that's gonna stop this trend for the foreseeable future. If MS is down bad this gen, it will ripple to PC as well as a consequence.
