In the wake of Red Thread Games releasing Dustborn, it was revealed the developer received funding from the European Union as well as the Norwegian Film Institute. Now, it's being reported that the U.S. government spent over a quarter of a million dollars on a "counter-disinformation game."

BULLY : bully gives us the power to force people to do things they may not want to do or force them to feels bad about themselves. In battle this could be highly efective in targeted enemies
NORMALIZE : normalize gives us the ability to make people think certain behavior or feelings are normal...but im not sure it will do much for us in a fight
DISCORD : discord gives us the ability to turn people against each other. This could be useful both when were talking to people..and when were fighting enemies...

Look the game's shit but....you really spend more time talking about games than playing them.
If I think a game's trash, I say as such and move on. Some of you though? Almost feels like you obsess attacking a game just to make up for secretly loving it and being ashamed of that, or something

The Norwegian gaming scene is small. I've engaged with Tørnquist and other Norwegian game devs quite a few times, and most of them seem to be grifting for EU and NFI (Norwegian Film Institute) money. They get super-upset when you mention it lol

I remember in the past there is a game where you have to drive a car to kill grandmas.
Everybody seems to liked it and find it cool lol
Now to call somebody racists when it happens in a game like it should be in real life is an issue.
It is just weird how the same people that killed grandmas with a happy face doesn't like that a game allow you to call out racism when you see it.
Anyway this game feels like a satire of you what happens on social networks nowdays.

Their official response was to welcome feedback and criticisms, but to keep the dialogue civil, and to avoid hate speech, harassment, and threats.Any word from the Devs on this performing so badly ? As for why this game is underperforming, the obvious explanation is they're an indie developer whose portfolio is basically just Draugen and Dreamfall and their game released to mixed critical reviews, going into an extremely competitive release season for gamers.
