Yeah but when the SSD eventually dies, being able to replace it is important for the PS5's continued usability. What happens in 20ish years when the SSD is out of writes or dies in some fashion? Will adding an SSD make a PS5 work even if its internal SSD is dead?It’s not a normal commercial SSD. It’s custom built specifically for PS5. It’s tied to the I/O controller also.
