Regardless of what Pachter predicts, since 2020, my prediction has been 100m subscribers by November 2028 which is when I believe the next generation consoles will release.
I think MS won't even reach 50M by the end of this generation. Even if after ABK they buy Riot, Take 2 and EA.
There's like 3B gamers out there but most of them don't want to play using a gamepad, don't want to play the type of games offered by gamepass, don't want/can't use cloud gaming in decent conditions, or don't want to pay a subscription to play. In fact most of them don't want to pay at all to play.

Serious question, does he knows that other countries exists other than USA? Does he know that in most countries, Microsoft is not, and, many doubt it will ever be a cool brand??? Because those little things influence a lot buyers decisions.

I like the part where he predicts they'll eliminate the Xbox, I hope he is right on that one. Silicon that could be used to make PS5s is being wasted on a subpart knock-off that no one should be buying.
I really hope that MS actually believes that they can reach 100m any time soon, it will make the failure of gamepass even more spectacular. At the current rate the services is growing it would take decades to reach 100m subs and how can you grow faster then when you are offering multiple months and conversions for $1?
