The reality is, xbox has abandoned the Brazilian market due to extremely low sales and the cannibalization of physical on xbox is accelerating due to gamepass in the region.

the report says MS may not even bother localizing or translating games for the Brazilian market moving forward, so its more just that brazil has rejected xbox series. The first market of many to come.

Bad news.
but but but the CADE report

That’s pretty universal these days.
I think Brazilian gaming market is not that different from others countries… what works in global will works on Brazil.

The difference lies in that in Brazil the % of the population that plays games is smaller than others big countries but that is related with the buying power of the population that is lower than most countries… what most people receive per month is not enough to have a health gaming hobby.

Gaming in Brazil is closed to middle and upper classes that are the minority in Brazil… over 50% of the populations is considered poor here (D/E classes) and most C class won’t buy consoles… A/B classes that have the money in hands to really maintain a health gaming hobby is like 15% of the population.

Gaming in Brazil grow a lot lately but most of the population doesn’t have access to it yet.

Thank you for that detailed reply that had nothing to do with what I posted.

Makes sense. Majority of Xbox gamers including myself go digital more than physical and in regions where physical sales are minimal at best, not much point in publishers paying for manufacturing, distribution and retailer fees if they don't have to.
Not everyone has the same Internet infrastructure like you. This is South America we are talking about. To be fair no one is buying physical for xbox because of their drm crap not because people have no interest in physical

even download-only games like the Final Fantasy 7/8/9 remasters get physical copies for switch in southeast asia because of the same problem.

It was funny because kaz used that as a pr win. Everyone was waiting for e3 fir the confirmation. They could have said something but nope
The "Sony too people" lol
I swear it was so annoying. Clowns acting like because Microsoft was doing Sony had to do it.
As annoying as the forum posters saying it were, the "journalists" like Patrick Klepek and Schreier were worse, and not a SINGLE one of them ever owned up to being wrong about it.

Here's how we share games

Greatest E3 show. Not just as a Sony fan, but as a much needed relief from DRM TV,Tv,TV and Kinect as a gamer
