Rocksteady co-founders Sefton Hill and Jamie Walker banded together to form a new AAA games-making studio in 2023 called Hundred Star, which is headquartered in London. Today, eXputer has learned that the developer is working on its first project: A AAA-standard, single-player, action-adventure game built in Unreal Engine 5.
  • Hundred Star was created by Rocksteady co-founders and is based in London and has about 100 employees.
  • The studio is working on its first-ever project, with is a AAA, action-adventure, single-player game.
  • Xbox Game Studios Publishing has signed a partnership with Hundred Star for the project.

Sony: I'm about to cancel another game. A showcase can't come soon enough, assuming they actually have shit to show.

🥱so this should drop around 2030 and probably will be multiplat. This studio or Xbox or both may not survive that long.

Microsoft is going to get a lot more publishing deals now that they don’t have to make games exclusively to xbox

Still pissed about what Rocksteady did to the Batman series. Arkham origins runs circles over both Gotham knights and suicide squad.

single player game announcements since 2021 - 0
PC port announcements since 2021 - 12

(soon to be 13)
PC ports about guaranteed to be announced soon: TLoU Pt 2, Spider-man 2, God of War Ragnarok.

Very likelly candidates for PC ports: Demon's Souls and Grand Turismo 7.

On PlayStation we haven't even been shown a trailer of any upcoming internal game in years. The closest thing we got was a Wolverine trailer in 2021 for a game that isn't going to release before 2026. I really don't understand what they think they are doing and why they decided after the PS4 that announcing stuff was bad for business.

Idk why ya’ll are mad. They can’t use the DC license. I suppose MS could pay for a Marvel IP that they could use. But Sony is in no position to pay for another Marvel property, after they are already paying a fortune for Spiderman and Wolverine. Rocksteady is unproven outside of Batman. Besides, the game will be on PS anyway. Lol

You mean what Warner did to Batman. Rocksteady didn’t develop Gotham Knights, and SS becoming a GAAS was a Warner decision.

What is this Sony is poor narrative? Didn't their bid for Paramount silence enough people?

Never said Sony was poor. But with the way AAA development is skyrocketing and Disney having a very higher fee for their IP rights. Idk if Sony wants to have another. Even EA is scaling back, when it comes to licensing IPs.

well at least this isn't a studio that was acquired by Xbox and they're not subject to those zany Microsoft hiring and firing practices.

this game could actually come out this decade.
