Fake Edit: I actually googled and they seemingly released 4 .hack games in quick succession instead of one big one.
That's some release strategy. Did you play them? If so, tell me about the length of each entry.
I've only played the beginning of .hack//Infection unfortunately; I had for a while been holding out hope it and Mutation/Outbreak/Quaruntine would get remaster/remake treatment the same way the .hack//GU Trilogy did.
I believe each of the original .hack// quadrilogy is about 15 hours long. All 4 could fit on a single PS2 disc, I'm pretty sure. Not entirely sure why the release the way it was back in the day.

What you don't see there is how blurry the game looked on Wii U. And you spend 99 percent of actual gameplay looking at the back of a tiny guy in a robot suit so anime vs western character design doesn’t really matter much compared to the other titles in the series.

Edit: Or do you mean the genderswapped MC? Because you always played a create-a-character and could pick gender, race and such.
thanks. good to know.

More comparison footage courtesy of GameXplain
Seems everything is slightly higher resolution on Switch, with some minor model and texture improvements in places.

Bit shocked they dropped this news on a random Tuesday. But finally complete! No doubt it will have BC improvements on Switch 2, since they probably won't have a new instalment when it launches. Now only the Zelda HD collection remains on WiiU.

so they censored the game?
it looks mediocre for 2015 game but Wii U version actually looks pretty compared to switch, which is 3x more powerful.

Yes, it's based on the western Wii U version.

No boob slider and censored outfits.

Time for Grummz to start a petition.

I was shocked to see on resetera that the Xenoblade chronicles X thread had more replies than both Concord threads combined, I wonder if this is still the case.

Also I still have the collector's Edition for this game sealed on Wii U.

bruh at least Nintendo waited a decade for all their rereleases.
Xenoblade was 10 when it came to switch, Skywards Sword was 10 when it came to switch, Luigi's mansion 2 was 11 when it came to switch. only captain toad in that photo was less than a decade old when it came to switch.

Also the switch isn't Backwards compatible like the PS5 is so stuff like the Uncharted 4/ Legacy of Thieves bundle, The Last of Us Part 1 and Part 2, Ghost of Tsushima, Death Stranding, and Spider-Man remastered could of just been upgrades instead like Horizon Zero Dawn Remastered.

People didn't give crap to Demon's Souls remake because not only was it older than 10 years but it was trapped on the PS3 kinda like how people gave a pass to the PS4's remasters with stuff like:
Gravity Rush
TearAway
Flower
Journey
The unfinished swan
The Last of Us
Uncharted Nathan Drake Collection
God of War 3 remastered
Heavy Rain and Beyond Two Souls
Ultra Street Fighter IV
FF7 PS1 remastered
Fandango remastered
Day of the Tentacle

PS4 didn't have Backwards compatibility just like switch so that is why it got a pass last gen.

Switch owners get both new games and old ones from Nintendo. Sony gets three studio closures in one year. Stay losing, bro.
2024 is a lot like 2012 for Sony, They closed down 3 studios just like this year. Sony Liverpool, Zipper, and Bigbig Studios because all their games flopped hard on Vita and Sony Bends probably barely survived seeing how barely anyone played Uncharted Golden Abyss.

This year London Studios, FireWalk, and Neon Koi got shut down and the sad part is that unlike 2012 Sony is making record profits.
Also apparently media molecule was also nearly axed which if that was the case I would just sell my PS4 right now as LittleBigPlanet is one of my favorite games of all time.

I guess seeing Sony make record profits as their Studios get shut down one by one is more important than enjoying games.

Both games basically came out at the same time and the conversation couldn't be more different. Gigantic double standard. Nintendo released so many remasters in the last year with zero backlash and now another one for 2025 and it's a mega celebration everywhere 🤡
which games came out around the same time?

if you can't see the difference between this and
Until Dawn remake (remake of a PS4 game)
Last of Us Part 1 remake (remake of a game already remastered on PS4)
Last of Us Part 2 remaster (remaster of a PS4 game)
Horizon: Zero Dawn (remaster of a PS4 game)

I don't know what to tell you
Furthermore, the Wii U was a flop, the PS4 wasn't. The PS5 is backwards compatible with the PS4. The Switch is not backwards compatible with the Wii U.

Basically: Nintendo is touching older games than Sony is, and Nintendo is porting games from a flop of a console to a console people actually own, whereas people already actually owned a PS4 or PS5 and the PS5 could already play PS4 games.

Until Dawn and TLOU are older than Xenoblade NA.

BC is bad now? Okay hopefully the PS6 is not compatible with PS4 and PS5 so Sony can sell remasters at full price. Let's see the response 🤡

No, BC is extremely cool
You're misunderstanding: Putting Wii U games on the Switch is good because the Switch can't run Wii U games
Putting PS4 games on the PS5 is bad because the PS5 can already run PS4 games

If the PS6 was not backwards compatible the re-releases would make more sense on the platform. This is not me saying the PS6 should not have backwards compatibility however. Backwards compatibility should always be strived for

Also Nintendo is extremely cringe for charging full price for re-releases, actually.

Sony IS creatively bankrupt and there's no double standard. If and when Nintendo will remaster Switch games that are already perfectly playable on Switch 2 with backward compatibility then you can complain.

TLOU Part 1 remake came out a little after the 9 year Anniversary of TLOU PS3
June 14th, 2013 - September 2nd, 2022

Until Dawn Remake happened a little after the 9 year Anniversary of the original
August 25th, 2015 - October 4th, 2024

Xenoblade Chronicle's X is being rereleased close to the 10 year anniversary of the game
April 29th, 2015 - March 20th, 2025

Also The Last of Us already got a PS4 remaster just one year after the PS3 release in July of 2014 which gamers were fine with because PS4 wasn't Backwards compatible with PS3.

Nobody whined about Sony porting PS3 and Vita games to PS4:
Gravity Rush
TearAway
Flower
Journey
The unfinished swan
The Last of Us
Uncharted Nathan Drake Collection
God of War 3 remastered
Heavy Rain
Beyond Two Souls
Ultra Street Fighter IV
FF7 PS1 remastered
Fandango remastered
Day of the Tentacle

But they are whining about PS4 remasters on PS5 because they are playable on PS5 already.
However re you forgetting if Bloodborne gets a remaster that millions of PS5 fans will be happy since it didn't perform well on PS4?

A lot of people want more PS3/ Vita games remastered on PS5.
Nobody is complaining about Freedom Wars getting a remaster next year because it is stuck on Vita.
Nobody would complain about a Killzone trilogy remaster on PS5
Nobody would complain about an Infamous 1 and 2 remaster with DLC included on PS5
Nobody would complain about a Resistance trilogy remaster on PS5
Nobody would complain about a Heavenly Sword remaster on PS5
Nobody would complain about a Puppeteer Remaster on PS5

People are literally begging Konami to port Metal gear Solid 4 on to modern Platforms because not everyone has a PS3.
you understand?
