Seems odd. If true, then yeah, only goes with my theory about what happened a few days ago about that report from CNBC.. These regulators won't do anything in the future and it's going to be a free-for-all.
It's actually the opposite with everything they spent its proved money does buy everything the CMA put up a reasonable fight. The FTC was a decent attempt but was a lost cause considering how many people are payed off by MS over here in the states. In the EU case it's obvious the cloud isn't an issue there and most people own Playstations or Nintendo devices over there. Regardless this whole thing was a waste of energy for people following it since Regulators apparently can be sidestepped over.

But it'd take enough people to do that in the consumer space. I know for sure the next PC/laptop I get, I'm going 100% Linux distro. I won't consider an Xbox myself in the near future (I have family who have Xboxes, though. And PlayStations, obviously) unless some of the key upper management at the division who've enabled a lot of the console-warring toxicity over this deal step down or are fired.

Zenimax isn't a purchase you respond to via acquisitions. They responded to everything so far, but as a Japanese company they tend to be very conservative and defensive. So far the only thing they havent adequately responded to is ABK (Bungie was an attempt, but not a great one)
Hmmm, I grew up with Xbox. It was my first console as a kid. And the 360 era was one of my favorite periods of gaming.
Yes the facts and evidence hurts I know. But the FTC still has a chance. Just a tiny one. So hold on to that
