That’s honestly the only explaination for the ones who aren’t paid to be “fans”.

Starfield has reached 325,000 concurrent players, and has beaten Skyrim's all-time peak (STEAM)

I was certainly expecting a higher CCU count on steam than what is currently reflected on the steam charts. The increduslousness being levied at folks surprised by the lower than expected Steam CCU is something else after seeing folks come into every thread about Baldur’s Gate 3 CCU to remind us...

Full launch week Xbox positioning will available by Wednesday. Not there yet. No. 3 in early access… that’s also where High on Life made its debut. It definitely needs to make a no. 1 spot appearance even for a moment. If it does not that’s not a good sign for gamepass subscription and lack of growth seeing how Halo Infinite managed to go hit No. 1 and this being the more important release (f2p PvP launched helped however). By no means whatsoever did it “flop” on steam btw

This is what people forget. Even if Starfield now beats Skyrim, it is such a far fall from the hype and expectations. It's underperforming compared to how BGS should have grown, and it's not even 1/4 of what Starfield was expected to be. To quote from the funny Forbes article which was holding the line before release:

I expect Spiderman 2 to be bigger than Starfield. Amazon for my country in gaming ranks Spiderman 2 as #7, Starfield #58 (it's dropped 43 places in the past 5 days). Hopefully we see a ~5m sales on day one or so.

Last day of posting news regularly on iconera and playing this game, clocked in around 100 hours

Spent most of my time gathering resources and managing my ADHD with the infinite chest at the constellation headquarters, it's time for Bethesda to make a better inventory system management in their games. It's so weird they still relocate basic mechanics like weight carrying to skill unlocking, and inventory management was a huge issue in this game.

Most of the systems in the game are overcomplicated at first, specially ship building, i never got the hang of it, but at least managed to make some ships. The procedural generation is nearly compeltely pointless other than loot farming and for 100% completion maniacs, as it only waste player's time with repeated envrioments.

Still stand by my initial Pre Release criticism, game starts super slow and gets better the more you play it, but there are many issues hard to ignore that makes the game feel super dated, really interesting NG+ but it's no game changer,

Hopefully the expansions will address these issues. Increasing my personal score to 7.5/10.0 because Sarah is horny.
