3 - Resistance Remastered Trilogy (Resistance 1, Resistance 2 and Resistance 3) *both games are still stuck on PS3

4 - Sly Cooper Remastered Collection (Sly Cooper 1, Sly Cooper 2, Sly Cooper 3 and Sly Cooper Thieves in Time) *both games are still stuck on PS3/Vita

5 - inFAMOUS Remastered Collection (inFAMOUS 1, inFAMOUS 2 and inFAMOUS Festival of Blood) *both games are still stuck on the PS3

the focus should be on games we have no access to on modern consoles, not to games like Horizon Zero Dawn and Until Dawn that are not even a decade old and are easily accessible, i get it that they want new versions of these games at full price because of TV Shows, but is it really necessary? will it really have huge impacts financially? we need more games, not the same ones we already can access right now

I love Sly, but Gravity Rush made 2x the revenue of Sly 4, which says more about Sly, than GR.

It's all about the cross release with Playstiation Production.
Gravity Rush Movie is coming very soon, so they prepared a remaster to cash on the film.
Medievil is getting a show, so they are making a remake.
Uncharted got a movie, so they released a remaster pack to sell alongside the movie. Same with the last of us.

Jak and Daxter is also getting a movie right? They'll probably make a remake or something then.
If Sony has any plans for the franchises you listed above, then they will rerelease them.

you can't compare sales of games from PS worst generation (PS3) with sales of games released on the second best selling home console of all time (PS4), there are MILLIONS that did not play these games on PS3, millions that never had a PS3... that were on the 360 at the time that had no access to these games, you just mentioned Uncharted, instead of remaking Golden Abyss which is a new game to a lot of people that never had a Vita, they remastered Uncharted 4 and Lost Legacy that were easily accessible to anyone who has a PS5 due to PS4 backwards compatibility

The remaster is waaay ahead of both.

I agree that remaking Uncharted golden abyss would be great for us - gamers, but there are two things you have to consider:

1 - Uncharted 4 is in top 10 of the best selling Playstation games. It's way more recognizable than GA, so is bound to sell more copies.

2 - It's just way cheaper to make a simple remaster, than actually remaking a whole portable game. Remember, they just want to cash in on the movie.

An HZD remaster would be terrible. The PS5 barely has the power to run it at 4K 60 original settings. Unless they call a remaster the ultra PC settings version of the game.

After the wonderful SotC Remake, I hoped they would remake ICO too. But they didn't even bother to unlock the FPS again for The Last Guardian for the PS5, so I lost all hope for it.

not really, for all we know, Uncharted Legacy Of Thieves Collection sold very poorly, no one is really interrested in buying games they already have access to, exposing more people to Resistance and Killzone can bring these franchises back

for the info we have about it, this can be a full blown remake with the same graphics as the Forbidden West game, in an updated version of the decima engine, with reworked animations

it seems like they want games coming out for the TV shows they're doing, at this point i won't be shocked if we see a God of War 2018 remaster tbh since there will be a tv show for Prime Video

i'm still furious about the fact that they cut the multiplayer modes for the Uncharted Nathan Drake Collection, Sony really doesn't care about preservation of their multiplayer games, just look at LBP MP modes, all of them now are unplayable, even 3 that is avaliable on PS4/5

They have enough useless studios, like Nixxes, who could do the work with other's studios games.

And the sad thing is, The Last Guardian was running at unlocked FPS on their initial release. With my physical disc I could play it like that, but they also had many fixes (I think even game breaking ones).

and... Uncharted Legacy Of Thieves Collection flopped, yeah, it's cheaper and easier to remaster a PS4 game and that's the point, these are just cash grabs, that's why there are a lot of rage everytime they do it, cause they could've done it for games that actually NEED it, they were making an Uncharted 1 Remake for PS5 but it was getting too expensive, then they cancelled it and made The Last Of Us Part I because it was cheaper, the results? brand damage and saturation of TLOU ip
